I try to keep Fred informed of MCpl Amy's activities, and give him a heads-up when there's any news. She's a great little Bear and has some very interesting trips already in the Schedule.

Do you think Mr Herman might like to meet Horsa when he finally gets to Halifax? Can you mention that prospect to Mr Herman and see what he says?

Amy finally arrived in Sarajevo, and after a thorough week long Quarantine by Sarajevo Customs she was finally released to begin her Tour of Sarajevo... She has already visited Zetra Stadium of Torville & Dean Olympic Gold Medal of 84 Winter Olympics fame; she'll be visiting the Tunnel under the Airport and also a mine field, which she has informed me she's a tad worried about, but rest assured she'll be fine! we don't have long before she heads off to Abu Dabhi so she'll be touring the major attractions of the City in the next few days, taking in the Eternal Flame, the Library (infamously burnt down during the Siege of Sarajevo), the spot where 'Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria' was Assassinated, which sparked off a series of events that added fuel to the fire that eventually became WWI... Amy is being well looked after by the Author 'Jonathan Smiles' of the very soon to be published book: "Pull Up a Sandbag" she'll visit the Restaurant/Bar where 'Jonathan Smiles' (nom de plume of two former British Soldiers) spent most Fridays for the past 10 months remembering and gathering Tales of Not so Daring Do for the book, the Restaurant is located next to the Sarajevo Zoo, where Amy will get to see some of her friends in captivity, there will be a Slivovitz ready in the Zelena Dolina Restaurant/Bar for her afterwards to clam her down after what may be a traumatic event for her...

Holidays 4 Heroes is an informal group of people that assists wounded service personnel and their families get a precious break from the routine of rehab, hospital appointments and visits to welfare offices by facilitating holidays away from it all in accommodation donated by our sponsors in the UK and abroad.
Deals with the cases that either lie outside the normal remit of the main Service Charities, or require a faster response than they can usually provide. Sometimes the cases require financial assistance, a little bit of nudging in the right direction for long-term help, or the application of a bit of expertise.
